Facebook Marketplace fees used in this calculator
- Shipped orders: 10% of the total the buyer pays (item plus shipping), with a $0.80 minimum.
- Local pickup paid in person: no Facebook fee. Pick “Local pickup” above.
Rates from published seller guides, last checked October 2026. Meta has changed Marketplace fees several times, and some Facebook pages still show an older, lower rate. Check Facebook's Commerce or Seller Protection policy and edit the rates above if they differ.
A worked example
Example. You sell an item for $40.00 and ship it. The buyer pays $8.00 shipping and your label costs $8.00. You paid $10.00 for it and $1.00 for packaging.
Facebook fee: 10% of $48 = $4.80. Profit: $24.20. Sold locally for $40 with no shipping, the fee is $0 and your profit is $29.00.
Shipped or local?
Local sales skip both the fee and the label, which is why they're popular for bulky items. Shipping reaches far more buyers. For anything small and easy to post, the 10% is often worth it if it sells faster or for more.
